As we settle into 2024, this quote from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. reminds me to keep moving forward daily.
Wherever you are in your journey, ascertain how you can keep moving forward and courageously take that next step.
As you embark on the next few months, take stock on the actions and activities you have accomplished that you can build on. Identify new steps that you can take in the coming months so you can look back and know that you have made the most of the time that you did have to build up your ADR career.
Our team is entering this new year with a continued drive to innovate, grow and scale ADRIO – and this means focusing our energy on member-centric services, benefits and programs. As the leading hub for all matters related to ADR in Ontario and across the Nation, we take great pride in the work we do at ADRIO every day to do our part to build this field.
There is an abundance of meaningful ways to elevate your ADR practice in this new year:
- Contribute to building the field by volunteering on a committee or submitting an article to be published with us;
- Expand your ADR network while learning new skills by participating in one or more of our CPD training and communities of practice sessions;
- Consider applying or upgrading to a Chartered Mediator or Arbitrator designation to remain competitive in the ADR workforce;
- Sign up for an ADRIO Perkopolis account to start receiving instant discounts on tech gadgets for your business;
- Ensure that you are taking advantage of other affinity program member benefits such as the Corporate Zoom subscription, Errors and Omissions Insurance or other insurance discount programs available through your membership;

I want to congratulate all of our inductees to the ADRIO President’s Circle for 2023. ADRIO’s President’s Circle members are honoured for their commitment of 20+ years of membership and contribution to the field of ADR. Congratulations to Blaine Donais, Jeffrey Morris, Heidi Ruppert and Brian Williams! I want to also congratulate our two Star Award recipients for 2023. The ADRIO Star award is a staff-choice award, dedicated to members who have made a memorable impact through their volunteer work at ADRIO in a given year. Congratulations to Claude Freeman and Jennifer Hyatt!
