Dear ADRIO Members and Dispute Resolution Practitioners
Spring greetings from ADRIO!
At ADRIO we are excited to celebrate all of the amazing activities, events, and projects happening and to share all of the upcoming initatives aligned with supporting you on your ADR journey.
We have entered into year 2 of the ADRIO operational plan to achieve ADRIO’s strategic priorities over the next 3 years.
ADRIO will continue to invest in the following 3 pillars to provide exceptional services in the future and drive us toward advancement:
- Branding to continue to increase awareness and support of ADR and ADRIO
- Membership retention and recruitment: strengthening support to our members and welcoming new practitioners to this thriving field
- Revenue growth to ensure that our team of staff and volunteers can continue to serve and support our membership and future members.
These 3 key areas will be embedded in the operational plan and action items over the next 2 years to ensure ADRIO’s work is guided and intentionally moving forward in the field of dispute resolution.
ADRIO is committed to building thought leadership in the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) space. After the research report that was released in early 2023 by Humber commissioned by ADRIO, ADRIO is excited for the upcoming Canada wide research taking place that will further contribute to the ADR field. I have had the privilege of investing time as an advisory committee member to contribute to this next phase of research in our sector. We invite ADRIO members and representation from Ontario to contribute to research findings in the current and evolving landscape of ADR in Canada by participating in the national survey.
The operational team is laser focused on activities to support membership retention and welcoming new practitioners through recruitment initiatives. We invite you to be a part of a virtual roadshow happening in the various geographical regions or professional development session that will support the next step in your career journey. Keep an eye on amazing activities happening as they are unveiled through our weekly communication or our events page to plan your investment into your learning and networking commitment.
In collaboration with ADRIC, ADRIO fully launched the National Introductory Mediation Course (NIMC) in March 2026. This was a sold out offering with participants from all walks of life. Thank you to the 2 instructors and 11 coaches from the ADRIO membership that delivered a strong program! ADRIO has created a roster of instructors and coaches to deliver the NIMC regularly.
Our ADRIO team is thrilled to connect with you as you work towards your next set of ADR goals, whether it be connecting to community, learning about membership, settling into your membership, applying for a designation or focusing on your learning plan. We are here to support! Please check out one of the Executive Director virtual drop-in sessions that I host. The upcoming sessions are April 15th or 30th at 3:00 pm. Please email me at ed@adr-ontario.ca for the zoom link.
I encourage you to check out the events being offered by ADRIO over the next quarter to learn more about ADRIO, network, or invest in your growth and development.
In closing, please remember our ADRIO team is here to support you wherever you are on your career journey.
I look forward to connecting with many of you to hear about your progress in your career at one of our exciting connection points in 2026!
Sincerely,
Pramila Javaheri, C. Med. Q. Arb, WFA
