Call for Nominations – ADRIC Board

Dear ADRIO Members, 

As a member of the ADR Institute of Ontario (ADRIO), you are also a member of the ADR Institute of Canada (ADRIC). According to ADRIC’s General By-Law No.1, its Board of Directors includes one Director who is a member of ADRIO and is elected for a 3 year term by ADRIO members. 

This year, the election of an ADRIO member to the ADRIC Board of Directors will take place at the same time as the election of ADRIO’s Board Directors, and is scheduled for June 11, 2026, during the ADRIO Annual General Meeting. The deadline for nominations is 5 pm on Monday, April 27, 2026.  

To stand for office as a candidate for the ADRIC Board of Directors, members must be in good standing. If you haven’t already done so, please renew your membership in order to be able to participate in the nomination process. ADRIO members applying for nomination as a candidate for election to the ADRIC Board of Directors pursuant to ADRIC’s General By-Law No.1, Section 5 Regional Affiliate Representation on the National Board of Directors…

Each Regional Affiliate shall elect one Director to the Board in accordance with Sections 7.2 (a) and 7.3. 

Composition of the Board 

  • The Board shall be comprised of: 
    • (a) One (1) Member in Good Standing from each Regional Affiliate (as elected by the  Members in Good Standing who are members of each such Regional Affiliate)
  • Each Director shall:
    • (a) Be an individual who is at least eighteen (18) years of age; 
    • (b) Not have the status of a bankrupt; 
    • (c) Not be an individual who has been declared incapable by a court in Canada or elsewhere; and 
    • (d) Not be an Ineligible Individual, unless that person has received approval of the Board to remain a Director. 

Nominees should note the following: 

– The ADRIC Board Director’s term of office begins immediately after the ADRIC Annual General Meeting, which will be held on October 22, 2026.

Information of nominees provided on nomination forms will be shared with members as attachments to the ballot for the election. 

Please note the following requirements of the nomination process: 

– The nominee must be full members in good standing. The nomination must contain the written assent of the nominee. 

– Completed nomination forms must be received no later than 5 pm on April 27, 2026.
