Dear ADRIO Members,
As we near the end of 2026, I want to extend my sincere appreciation for your continued commitment to advancing the field of dispute resolution in Ontario. Your dedication, professionalism, and engagement are what make ADRIO such a strong and vibrant community.
Over the past few months, ADRIO has continued to build momentum across several key areas. We advanced important initiatives in professional development, mentorship and strengthened our partnerships within the broader dispute resolution community. Our events and training sessions this quarter were well attended, and the feedback we received will help us continue refining the learning experiences we offer. We remain committed to, and focused on our 3 strategic pillars: business development, retention and expansion, and strategic branding. The operational plan with key annual deliverables continues to guide the work of the operational team, volunteers and stakeholders.
My 5-Year Anniversary as Executive Director
Cheers to 5 years in my role as Executive Director at ADRIO! As I reflect on my own ADR journey from the year 2000 to 2026, I am full of gratitude. Joining ADRIO has represented an amazing journey for me as member, Chartered Mediator, roster member, Board member, Vice-President elect, Qualified Arbitrator, President Circle member, and then joining ADRIO as Executive Director. As I reflect it has become clear to me that although at times the timing of my goals didn’t always materialize as I desired, the journey of putting one foot in front of the other to keep moving forward has served me well. When I joined ADRIO’s staff team in Aug 2021, it was the middle of Covid and there was much exciting work to be done to ensure that we would continue to be a strong community of support to one another. I am grateful for Sioux and Tommy. With their intelligence and brilliance, they can choose to work anywhere else, however they choose to give their most valuable gifts, talent & time to ADRIO day in and day out. I am thankful for an amazing Board of Directors who champion and support the operational team with their expertise every chance they get. Looking forward to the future, I am encouraged by the opportunities available from welcoming new members to ADRIO, membership opportunities to give back to the field of ADR and the continued growth and professional development available to ensure each practitioner is supported.
Important Reminder: A New Membership Year is Just Around the Corner!
We are looking forward to the 2027 membership renewal season. The renewal invoices will be delivered right to your inbox commencing the week of November 23rd. Please note that the 2027 membership renewal invoices will come from ADRIO for both your ADRIO and ADRIC membership renewal. For all designation holders, you will receive communication on your annual designation maintenance fee for 2027 from ADRIC. Each year, there are 2 separate invoices to renew your membership and to renew your designation. I am encouraging you to renew your membership once your invoice arrives to continue receiving the maximum membership benefits offered.
One of the greatest strengths of ADRIO is the caliber of its members. We have seen an increase in our membership numbers. We have over 1050 members at ADRIO and are seeing the rise in membership trending months ahead of our regular pattern. We celebrate this membership growth in our community. This quarter, we celebrated numerous achievements across our community—from new designations to contributions in mentorship, practice, and volunteer leadership.
Please Note: New Office Address
I am pleased to share that our office has relocated to 120 Eglinton Avenue East, Suite 202. Our previous address at 234 Eglinton Avenue is no longer in use. We continue to hold consistent virtual drop-in sessions to maintain accessibility to all of our members across Ontario.
The months ahead promise to be full of exciting events, interactions and projects. We are preparing a year full of events, member engagement opportunities and support that we look forward to sharing with you as they become available for 2027. I encourage you to stay connected, participate where you can as a writer, facilitator, or mentor, and continue contributing to the strength of our community.
Thank you for your ongoing support of ADRIO and for the important work you do every day to promote constructive, effective dispute resolution in Ontario. It is a privilege to serve this community, and I look forward to the progress we will make together in the coming quarter.
Sincerely,
Pramila Javaheri, C. Med. Q. Arb, WFA
