Mediators and peacebuilders are increasingly working under conditions of polarization, emotional intensity, and moral complexity—often without adequate structures for support. This interactive session explores the psychosocial impact of holding conflict, including secondary trauma, moral injury, and cumulative stress. Participants will learn practical tools for regulation in high-stakes conflicts and approaches for designing safer, more sustainable mediation and dialogue processes. Grounded in neuroscience, trauma-informed practice and professional experience, this session positions well-being not as an individual add-on, but as essential infrastructure for ethical, effective, and resilient mediation.
