Competitive Edge for Mediators – Civil Procedure Workshop and Introduction to Arbitration Workshop

Gain a competitive edge as a Mediator – start with a strong foundation of civil procedures, then expand your knowledge base to include decision making strategies employed in arbitrations!

These two practice-enhancing workshops are thoughtfully designed for mediators who do not have a background in law/litigation.

The Civil Procedure Workshop (Oct 30) covers all the basics of civil procedure in Ontario for non-lawyer mediators and goes toward fulfilling the civil procedure requirements for the Ontario Mandatory Mediation Program (OMMP). The Introduction to Arbitration for Mediators Workshop (Dec 4) offers practical perspective into leveraging mediation skills to excel at decision making. It will be a interactive introduction to arbitration for mediators. It will help mediators consider expanding their practices to include arbitration and support arbitrators as they further develop the collaborative skills good decision-makers need.

Both workshops can count for a total of 16 CEE points towards the educational maintenance requirements of the Q.Med and C.Med designations.

You can register for both workshops as a limited-time discounted package, or you can register for one workshop individually.
