Qualified Mediator (Q.Med) / Qualified Arbitrator (Q.Arb)

These designations are to recognize practitioners who have completed sufficient mediation / arbitration and related dispute resolution training to be qualified to practice. They are an intermediate step for practitioners working to receive their Chartered designation.

The designations assist the practitioner by providing a nationally recognized credential to show that they have met minimum nationally set standards for training and/or experience. (Since these standards are minimum national standards, regional affiliates may set higher local standards if they so desire.)

The designations will assist the public to select a practitioner who has been reviewed to determine if that they are qualified by training and/or experience to conduct mediations or arbitrations.

Q.Med application forms and guidelines will be updated soon.

The Q.Arb application fee is $200.00 (plus HST). The ongoing annual fee for maintaining the designation is $99.00 (plus HST) per year, in addition to membership dues.
